Using a bowl and a cutting board crush both of the candy canes to that they are small chucks and powder. Reserve half of the candy cane powder. Lightly thaw sugar cookie dough and place in the blender. Put extract and half of the candy cane crumbles into the blender and pulse well until combined. Using a spoon make roughly 15-20 equal balls of cookie dough on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake cookies according to package instructions. When cookies are done, lightly dust the tops of them with the candy cane crumbles and sugar.
